Schools Activities Days

Active Highs offers school activity days based in the Great Glen, near Fort William and Inverness.

We offer a great range of fun, challenging and adventurous activities that can be adapted to suit both primary and secondary school age groups. We have worked with many local schools, as well as visiting schools from overseas, and we always receive great feedback .

Before your booking with Active Highs, we will ask about group dynamics, the reason for your visit and any special requirements that you may have. Once we have established all of the information that we need, we will offer you some suggested activity programmes to meet your needs.

Active Highs is a long-established provider of outdoor activities (now owned and operated by In Your Element), and activity days for schools in the Highlands of Scotland. With a great range of activities on offer, we hope to be able to offer you an activity programme to suit your requirements & budget. We have worked with many school groups from all over Scotland and the Highlands, and can also provide a fantastic range of activities for Active Schools Coordinators, for the school’s summer programme.

Safety, Enjoyment & Learning

Active Highs is a fully ALLA-registered organisation and takes safety very seriously, while still offering a sense of adventure and a challenge. Rising to the challenge is what gives a sense of satisfaction.

We believe that an outdoor experience for a young person can teach them skills for life, instil confidence & most of all make them smile. Active Highs can offer half, full-day and multi-activity days in the Highlands, and we can help you to choose the correct activities best-suited to the age range and ability of your pupils.

Active Highs holds a current AALA licence. This means that we are inspected once per year and our policies, procedures, staff and equipment are all looked at. This also allows Active Highs to keep up to date with current best practices in the industry.

Prices

We offer discounted school & youth group rates, which we feel are competitive and good value for money (available term time only, Monday to Friday). However, it’s best to contact us to discuss your requirements, tailored programming and pricing.
