Active highs run fun and exciting gorge walking close to Inverness, which involves scrambling up and down small waterfalls, jumping into pools, sliding down flumes & swimming your way through a deep river gorge. Our gorge walking adventure is mainly aimed at families with younger children from age 7 plus, school & youth groups. This is because many of the challenging bits can be avoided. However, this trip is also a great option for groups or individuals looking for a fun water-based adventure, thanks to the challenges that await.

If you are looking for a more extreme and challenging trip, then you may want to check out our Meig Gorge Adventure (private groups only, minimum age 14 – get in touch). We will kit you out with a nice, warm 5mm neoprene wetsuit, a buoyancy aid, and a helmet. This specialist equipment is designed to keep you warm and safe during the trip in a spectacular Scottish river gorge. This activity will leave you with a big smile on your face!

ITINERARY AND WHAT TO BRING

The experience will last 2.5 hours.
We will meet at the activity location meeting point
Here you will be fitted with all specialist equipment and get a quick safety briefing.
Once kitted up, we will then head into the gorge to explore
Please bring swimwear for underneath the wetsuit.
